Home Visiting Evidence of Effectiveness Review: Executive Summary

Home Visiting Evidence of Effectiveness (HomVEE) was launched in fall 2009 to conduct a thorough and transparent review of the home visiting research literature and provide an assessment of the evidence of effectiveness for home visiting program models that serve families with pregnant women and children from birth to age 5. This executive summary provides an overview of the HomVEE review process, a summary of the review results, and a link to the HomVEE website for more detailed information. The updated report includes 46 home visiting models.

Home Visiting Programs: Reviewing Evidence of Effectiveness

October 2018

This brief provides a three-page summary describing the HomVEE review process, review results, and the 20 program models determined to meet the Department of Health and Human Services’ criteria for an “evidence-based early childhood home visiting service delivery model.” The brief is based on the information presented in the Executive Summary. The updated version includes results through the 2018 review.
