Purchase of Model or Operating License

Currently, NSTRC does not require sites to purchase an operating license. Sites are required to pay an annual accreditation fee.

Materials and Forms

At the SafeCare workshop training, providers and coaches receive a full set of SafeCare materials and permission to reproduce them. Additional materials required to support implementation include safety latches, a choke tube, small toys, and costs associated with photocopying manuals. The estimated cost for these materials is $10-12 [2015 dollars] per family. Each provider that implements SafeCare may also need a digital audio recorder (if sessions are recorded), toys, screwdrivers, a calculator, and a thermometer. The estimated cost of these materials per SafeCare provider is $100 [2015 dollars].
