Pre-Service Staff Training

CHWs received 40 hours of training including asthma-related content, conducing home environmental assessment, motivational interviewing, accessing community resources, landlord-tenant relations, communicating with medical providers, domestic violence and child abuse reporting, record keeping, office organization, safety. The training included a combination of didactic, group discussion, and experiential learning.

In-Service Staff Training

Ongoing training for CHWs was provided during weekly supervision including case discussions, protocol reviews, chart reviews, and home visit observations.
